CARE CENTER WORK DAY!

• We are going to have a work day across the street at the new Care Center building this Saturday November 23rd.  There's a few things that still need to be torn down, moved, and removed to make way for some of the brand new coming in.  Please wear long sleeves and pants as there will be some fiberglass insulation that will be carried out to the dumpster that's coming.  If you've got protective eyewear and gloves please bring them.  We'll start at around 9am and try to finish up around noon.  But if that doesn't work for you but want to help, talk to Rob Willoughby... there may be other times during the week or even Saturday afternoon when we could use an extra set of hands. ADVENT WORSHIP NIGHT!

• We will be having a worship night on December 4th from 6-7pm to kick off the Advent season. There will be childcare for birth-2 year old’s only. We hope you will join us! 

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY UPDATE!

• TODDLER HANG-OUTS: We have a new toddler hangout this year! RUN AND READ! This takes place at BFIT (2202 Locust). We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month from 9:45 to 10:30am. Children can have free play, instructional play, and listen to a book. Moms will hopefully get to enjoy some R&R as well:) If you have any questions, please contact Heidi Durham (816.752.8460).

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

• As a church we partner with Samaritan's purse every holiday season to take part in their Operation Christmas Child event. We pack shoe boxes filled with new items for children in other countries that otherwise would not receive gifts during the Christmas season. We want to encourage you to join us in this even by packing a shoebox or two as a family. Starting next week we’ll have a limited amount of shoeboxes + labels for your boxes available to pick up in the back of the sanctuary. If you don’t want to pack a shoebox but desire to donate to the cause, we will pack a shoebox for you with our birth-5th grade children in their classrooms mid November. You can give a donation towards that in the offering box. We will be collecting boxes from now until November 24th, or your welcome to drop them off at one of the many OCC box drop off locations in our town (link below). MONTHLY MEN'S BREAKFAST

• Gentlemen! Join us the first Saturday of every month from 7 to 8am in the Wellspring basement for our monthly men's gathering. During these gatherings you will have the opportunity to hear a speaker from our community point us to Jesus and share coffee & donuts with other men.
