YOUNGLIVES STARTING IN SAINT JOSEPH!

  • There are adults in our city praying about starting up a YoungLives ministry in St. Joseph. YoungLives is a branch of the local YL ministry that supports pregnant and parenting teens through mentorship, community, and a life with Christ. 
  • Maybe you are:
  • *interested in learning more about being a mentor to a parenting teen
  • *wanting to know how to be a part of a child care team for when we start up YoungLives club
  • *wanting to hear from Trisha Campbell and local YL staff about the dream for this ministry
  • *interested in giving financially to help support the ministry and eventually help send teen moms and their little ones to YL camp

DONATIONS FOR EDISON

  • Edison is in need of some items and has reached out to Wellspring to see how we can help! Please consider blessing our neighborhood school by picking up some of the items listed below. We will have baskets located inside both entrances labeled Edison the next 2 Sundays.
  • Items needed: size 5-8 kids pants/soft (like leggings or sweats), kids fluoride free toothpaste, mini deodorants (some aluminum free due to allergies), combs, ChapStick, fragrance free moisturizer, a small amount of floss, cultural hair care products, a few cans of spray deodorant for both genders, umbrellas, and anything else anyone feels led to donate!

RUN FOR WORLD VISION

  • Team Wellspring is participating in the 2024 KC Half Marathon on October 19th to support World Vision, a nonprofit, Christian organization who works with communities around the world to battle issues of poverty - providing things like clean water, nutritious food, education, medical care, and spiritual development.
  • At this time, we have 4 runners who are signed up to participate in the half marathon, but would encourage other runners to join us! If folks are interested in other supporting the group, please consider adding members in prayer, offering regular words of encouragement, or donating to the cause. MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP TIME

  • On the second Sunday of every month, we will be having "Fellowship Time" in between services! This is an opportunity for our entire church body to connect and enjoy coffee and donuts together! Please join us from 9:50 to 10:30am in the basement on the second Sunday of every month!! Our next fellowship time will be OCTOBER 13TH!

INTRO TO WELLSPRING LUNCH

  • Our next Intro to Wellspring Lunch will be on Sunday, September 22nd. If you are new to Wellspring, this is an opportunity to come enjoy lunch, meet our staff members, and hear about the mission and values of our church! We will be meeting after the second service in the Wellspring basement! Lunch and childcare will be provided. Please fill out this FORM if you plan on attending!! 

BAPTISM SUNDAY

  • Our next Baptism Sunday will be Sunday, September 22nd during service! If you would like to be baptized, please fill out this FORM and a member of our staff will be in contact with you about next steps! If you have questions about baptism, please reach out to any staff member and we would be glad to talk to you!! 

TODDLER HANG-OUTS

  • We have a new toddler hangout this year! RUN AND READ! This will take place at BFIT (2202 Locust). We will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month from 9:45 to 10:30am. Children can have free play, instructional play, and listen to a book. Moms will hopefully get to enjoy some R&R as well:) The first one will be Thursday, September 12th! "KNOW THE BIBLE" CLASSES

  • Know The Bible Classes begin Sept 29 from 10 – 10:45am (Between services)! We are excited to learn with you and help bring clarity and joy to your bible reading experience. So, if you are new to the Bible, intimidated or confused by it, or looking to grow your passion for the Bible, we hope you’ll join us. We will begin with a 3 Week introduction class called “What is the Bible?” Please fill out this FORM if you are interested in attending.
