  • Bob Miller


    I have served as the Lead Pastor of Wellspring since its inception in 2006. My typical week as a pastor, if there is such a thing, includes studying and sermon preparation, guiding and encouraging our staff, counseling those in need, developing and maintaining relationships, and working alongside our Advisory Board and staff to provide leadership and direction for the future of Wellspring. I met my wife Kristin when we were both students at Southwest Missouri State. We were married on July 18, 1992. We have 4 children: Zac, Kylie, Kenzie, and Zavier. 


    Bachelor’s Degree  in Education from Southwest Missouri State University. (1991)

    Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling from Central Missouri State University. (1998)

    Master’s Degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. (2010)


    I love coaching my children and currently serve as the Head Cross Country Coach at Central High School, where several Wellspring kids are a part of our team. I enjoy running, basketball, softball, golf, and usually have a book or two always at the ready for a free moment. 

  • Justin Amos

    Associate Pastor

    I started working as the Associate Pastor of Wellspring in July of 2011. My main duty at Wellspring is investing in Young Adults in our church. I lead our summer internship each year and help with some of the teaching responsibilities on Sunday mornings. I also serve as the small group director and enjoy helping people find community. I married my beautiful wife Sara in May 2012. We have two daughters: Makenna Elise and Mya Grace. 


    Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Missouri Western State University (2007).

    Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University (2011).


    I love playing drums and traveling, especially when I get to visit foreign countries. I'm a hardcore Kansas City Chiefs fan! I also enjoy Chipotle and Starbucks. 

  • samantha Donahoo

    director of neighborhood ministries

    I was born and raised in St. Joseph. I didn't attend church until 2012 when I started attending Wellspring. That summer I gave my life to Christ after completing the Wellspring summer internship. I have worked with at risk youth for the last several years and love kids who are the hardest to love. I am currently living in The Guest House and provide hospitality to the kids and neighbors in our Wellspring neighborhood.

    Hobbies and Interests: 

    I love reading, hanging out with kids and friends, and being with my family.

  • Brittney Robertson

    Children's Director

    I was born and raised in St. Joseph. I went on full-time staff with Wellspring in June of 2017. My role is to ignite a desire for a genuine relationship with Christ amongst the school aged children in our church and community. I desire to prepare our children for a life of serving and knowing the Lord. It is also my goal to encourage and equip parents to thrive as the primary spiritual leaders for their children. My husband Matthew and I have been together since we were 17 and were married in December of 2012. We have one son, Arthur Matthew and one daughter, Alice Rosemary. 


    Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Missouri Western State University. (2014)


    I really enjoy being in community with friends and family. I love spending time with my husband and son, and going on family walks. I also enjoy cooking, reading, working out, and I dabble in essential oils.

  • Marissa Purvis

    Children's Ministry Assistant (Birth to Pre-K)

    I was raised in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to St. Joseph in 2007. I began working at Wellspring as the Children's Ministry Assistant in August of 2015. My role is working with ages birth through Pre-K. I will be developing curriculum, working with volunteers, planning events and teaching our little children here at Wellspring about God's love. I met my husband Brady shortly after moving to St. Joseph and we were married in 2010. We have three children: Kennedy, Beckett, and Briggs.

    I love hanging out with my family and our kids, scrapbooking, traveling, and being with friends.

  • Zac MillER

    Youth director

    I have gone to Wellspring Community Church since the age of 11 and have been heavily involved in Wellspring ministries since the beginning. I have helped lead the Wellspring summer internship for 3 years, and have joined part-time staff as the Middle School and High School Director. My job is to invest in the lives of Wellspring youth and come alongside them to help them grow in a relationship with their Creator. My wife Sam and I were married in December of 2018. 



    Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a minor in Sport Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University (2018).



    I work part-time for the ministry of Young Life in St. Joseph as well as volunteer coach for the Central High School cross country team. I love to run, play sports, watch sports with friends, camp, journal and read. 

  • david dudeck

    worship director

    I grew up in St. Joseph and have always had an interest in music and technology. As the worship director at Wellspring, my job is to oversee all the practical and logistical needs for our service each week. I love music and being able to oversee a worship team and plan/practice songs each week is a way for me to express creativity and work with some cool friends/musicians as well. I met my wife Sarah in high school and we were married in 2006.  We have three children: Noah, Hadley, and Eliana. 


    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Truman State University (2005). 


    I love listening and playing music of all genres. I'm also interested in cars, tech stuff, great food, traveling, and football.

    Office administrator    

    I was raised in St Joseph, MO.  I began in the office at Wellspring July 2018.  My role is working in the office and keeping calendars up to date for the church. I met my husband while at Missouri Western and we got married in 2013.  We have three boys: Kirk, Gabe, and Oliver. 


    I attended Missouri Western and Colorado Christian University. 

    Hobbies/ Interest:

    I love hanging out with my family and friends, Snowboarding, The lake,  and just about anything outside.

    Financial Administrator

    I was born in Illinois and raised in Des Moines, IA. I met my husband Nick at college at Northwest Missouri State and we were married in 2002. We moved to St. Joe in 2005 and got involved with Wellspring in 2006. My full time job recently has been to parent our 3 children, Tad, Rilyn and Brielle. On the side, I handle financials for my husband's business and the church.

    I love to read, walk, bake, do yoga and spend quality time with family and friends.

    Facilities Director

    I oversee all projects relating to the church building. My wife, Erin, and I have been married for over 20 years. We have four boys: Max, Ben, Sam and George.

    I enjoy Malcolm Gladwell, Freakonomics, Donald Miller and Storyline, Bob Goff, storytelling, and filmmaking, and trying to blend them all into building a better me. I also like words and numbers.

Advisory Board

The Wellspring Advisory Board ensures accountable leadership through a three-fold role of leading, protecting, and advising/giving consent to the senior pastor and staff. The board holds the responsibility for providing ongoing personal encouragement and support to the pastor and staff and we stand together with the pastoral leadership to protect the God-given identity and values of Wellspring Community Church. The Board is comprised of:
